UNITY360 COMMUNITY RACE DIALOGUES
Unity360 provides a safe and structured forum for open dialogue about the ways in which race, racism and prejudice shape our society and impact our daily interactions. Our facilitated discussions and workshops are designed to identify and deconstruct barriers to inclusion across racial and socioeconomic boundaries.
Examine historical, systemic and casual racism
Promote empathy and understanding between people of different background
Give participants tools for diffusing and rejecting bigoted language and behaviors
Improve the quality of community life for everyone
Awkward Dinner is a new Unity360 program that brings participants into a facilitated dinner conversation on racism and white privilege.
Unity360 Race Dialogue series and our other cultural events allow South Florida residents and businesses to break stereotypes and bring people together who would otherwise not meet. This is the path to ending racism at a personal and, eventually, institutional level.
Black History Month (BHM) – an annual event with poetry, music, film and art to honor the contributions of People of Color. These events attract a diverse array of celebrants. SFPoC celebrate BHM 365 days where we rely on academic and cultural experts to uncover and increase our knowledge of the history and struggles of PoC and current inequalities that are happening in the world.
