Lecture and Dialogue Series

South Florida People of Color presents the Race in Retrospect series, a “deep dive” into racism in South Florida featuring three widely recognized Black History scholars. Co-hosted by The Betsy Hotel and generously supported by a grant from the Florida Humanities Council.

Oneness Does Not Mean Sameness:
Anti-Racism, Self-Esteem, and the Truth about Spiritual Healing

The Universal Truth Center Adult Education Ministry in partnership with the South Florida People of Color presents a community dialogue and workshop. This event, based on bell hooks' book Rock My Soul: Black People and Self Esteem, is open to the public and will be led by UTC licensed teacher Tawnicia Ferguson Rowan and SFPoC facilitator Jordana Hart. All are welcome!
